April is around the corner and Mary Warshauer, current president of the National Garden Clubs, has signed a proclamation declaring April to be “Plant America Month.” As we members know, the National Garden Clubs’ mission is to provide education, resources, and national networking opportunities for its members to promote the love of gardening, floral design, and civic and environmental responsibility and to share these resources within their own communities. The theme Plant America embodies the mission statement. The NGC Board of Directors picked April as the month for Plant America for several reasons.
The Board of Directors wanted to acknowledge and celebrate the importance and confluence of these events and have declared April 2022 as Plant America Month. Over the next few weeks, you will see blog articles celebrating this proclamation. For a downloadable poster and the proclamation visit the NGC website.
