Overview
The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs District V, in partnership with the University of Florida, offers the 88th Annual UF Short Course, a premier horticultural program. National Garden Clubs Tri-Refresher credits have been approved for eligible attendees. This highly-rated 3-day event will be held in Gainesville from May 31 through June 2, 2026 at the UF Straughn Center.
This year’s theme, “Tools for Tomorrow,” focuses on identifying emerging environmental challenges and exploring innovative, research-based solutions. Attendees will enjoy exclusive tours and expert presentations by UF faculty and regional plant specialists.
A complementary registration reception is offered on the afternoon before May 31 from 3-5 pm. A floral design dinner is offered by separate registration on June 1.
Registration opens February 1 for FFGC Members, March 1 for Master Gardeners, and April 1 for the general public. The registration form is available at https://ffgc.org/Education. Space is limited. Registration deadline: May 8, 2026.
A special hotel rate of $103 + tax is available at the Drury Inn (reservation deadline May 6).
